Role Purpose
The Technical Manager — Irrigation & Greenhouses is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the company’s technical excellence and market positioning in irrigation technologies and greenhouse solutions across Kenya and the broader East African market. As the organisation’s primary subject matter expert, this role bridges commercial strategy and technical delivery, ensuring that design, engineering, and after-sales support consistently meet the highest professional standards.
The role sits on the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Managing Director, and plays a critical part in shaping the company’s growth strategy, product portfolio decisions, and key client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Contribute to the company’s overall strategy as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing technical insight to inform commercial decisions.
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for irrigation and greenhouse solutions, aligned to market trends, client needs, and business growth objectives.
- Represent the organisation at industry forums, trade associations, government engagements, and key client meetings as the technical authority.
- Identify emerging technologies, suppliers, and innovations to continuously strengthen the company’s product and service offering.
