BreëRivier Irrigation is expanding again and offers another golden opportunity for an energetic person to become part of a progressive and dynamic agricultural irrigation business as an Irrigation Technician. The person will work with a team of experts and will be responsible for GPS surveys and stake outs, as well as the installation and repair of irrigation automation systems. The successful candidate will also consistently provide excellent customer service and maintain effective internal and external communication at all times.
Job and skill requirements:
- Matric is a minimum requirement
- A relevant Electrical qualification or similar will be highly beneficial
- A valid driver’s license (Code B) is essential
- Preference will be given to a candidate with experience and/or knowledge of installation and/or repair of Irrigation Automation systems
- Knowledge and experience in the correct use of a multi-meter is essential
- Electrical installation and repair experience would be beneficial (mainly 24V AC/DC)
- Experience in a telemetry environment would be highly beneficial
- Experience of GPS surveying and mapping on Model Maker will count in your favour
- Comprehensive written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans
